Job Description:

Hogan - Hansen P.C. is a well-established CPA firm located in Iowa. We have an opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant in our Waterloo office. We are looking for someone with strong computer, communication and organizational skills. They must also have excellent phone etiquette. The Administrative Assistant serves as a facilitator who coordinates deadlines and handles project coordination and completion.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handling incoming calls
  • Assembly of individual and corporate income tax returns
  • Work with the preparation of memorandums and all other correspondence from the draft stage to final completion
  • Acts as liaison between the partner and clients/colleagues to facilitate work and accomplish objectives in a collaborative effort
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook, a plus
  • Schedule appointments, confirm changes or delays, and make necessary changes for partner
  • Manage voicemail
  • Other general administrative duties

Qualifications and Skills

  • CPA Firm related experience is a plus
  • Initiative and a strong customer service focus
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing
