While not all of our clients' needs dictate an annual audit of their financial statements, many feel more comfortable with at least an annual review of their accounting records by a certified public accountant. We provide this function at a much lower cost than a formal audit through a Compilation or Review conducted in accordance with professional standards for unaudited financial statements.
The Compilation function simply entails the preparation of financial statements based on information the client supplies in a format required by professional standards. Because performing an Audit or Review is more complex, the Compilation is the most cost-effective method of obtaining financial statements.
The Review function on the other hand, entails an in-depth look at the individual accounts comprising the financial statements. While short of an Audit, Review procedures are quite thorough and, upon their completion, allow us to make the statement that nothing came to our attention which would cause us to believe that the Reviewed financial statements are misleading. The use of our Compilation and Review services is continually growing, as many clients find that professionally prepared financial statements aid them in effectively managing their businesses.
As with our audit services, we are constantly on the lookout for improvements through which our clients can increase the profitability of their operations. While this work is unaudited, it is still performed by certified public accountants who are members of our staff ... not by trainees or paraprofessionals. Unaudited engagements have always received, and will continue to receive, the same quality of service that we provide in all other areas of our practice.
