Debbie directs the firm's staff of paraprofessionals with our Management Information Services Practice. She is responsible for performing detailed reviews of the paraprofessionals' work and ensuring compliance with firm standards for financial statement presentation. Debbie also provides design, implementation and support services for computerized accounting systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Debbie has provided computerized accounting and payroll services to a broad range of clients since 1972. She has served in this capacity with Hogan - Hansen since 1978. Debbie has extensive experience with most of the popular accounting software packages.
NOTATIONS
Debbie divides her time between serving clients and filling the role of controller for Hogan - Hansen. In her spare time, she enjoys working with her husband on their acreage, vacationing and spending time with her family.
Anne Halbmaier Manager University of Northern Iowa, BA, 1984
CONCENTRATIONS
Anne is the manager of the firm's Income Tax Practice. She is responsible for the technical review of corporate and individual income tax returns prepared by staff members. She also provides business and individual income tax planning and research services, retirement plan design and administration advice and financial planning services. Anne also has completed the CFP Certification Professional Education Program through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado, for financial planning services.
QUALIFICATIONS
Anne graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with highest honors in 1984 and received special recognition for obtaining one of the highest passing scores in the nation on the CPA examination. She worked for seven years in the trust department of a regional bank where she was responsible for preparing fiduciary income tax returns, administering retirement plans and managing the bank's trust operations. Anne is licensed to practice as a CPA in the state of Iowa. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa Society of CPAs and the Financial Planning Association.

Anne worked with Hogan - Hansen from 1984 to 1989 as a staff accountant, returning in 1996 to the Employee Benefit Plan Practice until her 2007 promotion as income tax manager. In her spare time, Anne enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

CONCENTRATIONS
Steve is a former principal who now assists with the Accounting and Auditing practice. In addition to performing quality reviews of audit and accounting engagements, Steve assists other members of the firm with consulting engagements, income tax and other special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Following his college graduations Summa Cum Laude and Cum Laude in 1974 and 1976, respectively, Steve passed the CPA examination on his first attempt. After serving two years with a national CPA firm, he joined Hogan - Hansen as a member of the audit staff. Steve is licensed to practice as a CPA in the state of Iowa and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of CPAs.
NOTATIONS
Steve has twice served as a member of the Iowa Society of CPAs Practice Review Committee, which assists member firms in improving the quality of their financial reporting practices. In the past, he expanded the United States Small Business Administration's 7(j) Business Assistance Program to state-wide operations and provided subsidized counseling and business assistance to numerous economically disadvantaged clients throughout Iowa. Steve is a frequent speaker to small business groups. Recently, the United States Small Business Administration named him as its Accountant Advocate of the Year for the state of Iowa. Steve enjoys golf and cycling in his spare time.

Dale provides audit, accounting, income tax and consulting services to a broad range of clients including governments, not-for-profit organizations, retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers. He is responsible for direct supervision of staff during the course of engagements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1979, Dale worked in the accounting department for General Electric Co. in Denver, Colorado, in its major appliance division and with a CPA firm in Littleton, Colorado. He obtained his CPA certification and joined Hogan - Hansen as a staff accountant in 1982. Dale is licensed to practice as a CPA in the state of Iowa. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of CPAs.
NOTATIONS
Dale is a member of the Special Review Committee of the Government Finance Officers Association, providing quality control reviews of financial statements for local governments throughout the United States. For four years, he was an adjunct professor for Upper Iowa University's Waterloo campus. Dale provides numerous hours of volunteer time as a board member of fraternal and not-for-profit organizations. In his spare time, Dale enjoys fly fishing.

Lisa is the manager of the firm's Employee Benefit Plan Practice, specializing in retirement and cafeteria benefit plans. She assists clients by listening to them to determine their specific needs, researching alternatives and providing recommendations tailored to fit their specific needs. Lisa is also responsible for monitoring client plans and ensuring that the necessary tests are performed in an accurate and timely manner to comply with Internal Revenue Service Regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Lisa graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1992 with a degree in Finance. She began her career with The Principal Financial Group in 1992 working in retirement plan client services and was promoted to management within the Retirement and Investor Services division. Lisa joined Hogan - Hansen, P.C. in October of 2002, bringing ten years of pension-specific experience to the firm.
NOTATIONS
Lisa has volunteered her time in the Partners in Education and Junior Achievement programs. She also volunteers for various programs at St. Edward's School. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid runner.

Rachelle is the manager of the firm's Audit and Accounting Practice. She is responsible for ensuring that engagement workpapers and reports are prepared in accordance with professional standards and the firm's standards. Rachelle has significant experience in all aspects of auditing, accounting and income taxes for commercial, not-for-profit and governmental entities.

Rachelle graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997. She began her career in public accounting in 1997 and joined Hogan - Hansen as a senior auditor in 2003. She was promoted to Audit Manager in 2004. Rachelle is licensed to practice as a CPA in the state of Iowa and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of CPAs.

In her spare time, Rachelle enjoys spending time outdoors with her children and husband, traveling and reading.
