Kevin directs the accounting, auditing, income tax and consulting services of the firm's Cedar Rapids office. His work encompasses a broad range of taxation topics, small business consulting and auditing not-for-profit organizations and commercial entities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Following his graduation Cum Laude in 1979, Kevin worked in public accounting firms in Sioux City and Algona prior to joining Hogan - Hansen in 1986. Kevin is licensed to practice as a CPA in the state of Iowa and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of CPAs. He is also an active member of the Cedar Rapids Area Estate Planning Council and the Cedar Rapids Association of Life Underwriters.
NOTATIONS
Kevin volunteers his time and talents as a board member to fraternal, not-for-profit and civic organizations as well as volunteering for various church and school activities. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys reading and running.

Steve is the managing principal of the firm directing its overall operations. He is also responsible for the firm’s Audit and Accounting Practice. Steve performs quality reviews of financial statements issued by the firm for compliance with the standards of our profession. He has significant experience in all aspects of auditing, accounting, consulting and income taxes for commercial, not-for-profit and governmental entities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Upon graduation from the University of Northern Iowa in 1990, Steve began his career in public accounting with a firm in Des Moines. In 1994, Steve returned to his hometown of Waterloo and joined Hogan - Hansen as a senior auditor. He was promoted to Audit Manager in 1998, Principal in 2001 and Managing Principal in 2004. Steve is licensed to practice as a CPA in the state of Iowa and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of CPAs.
NOTATIONS
Steve is a member of the Practice Review Committee of the Iowa Society of CPAs, serves as a board member and fund raiser for several not-for-profit organizations and is a frequent speaker to high school students about the accounting profession. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family.

CONCENTRATIONS
Dennis has been a principal in the firm since 1970. His areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, estate and business income tax planning. Dennis also directs the partnership and individual income tax planning and compliance portions of our practice.
QUALIFICATIONS
Dennis began his career in public accounting with an international firm in Chicago, Illinois. He is licensed to practice as a CPA in the state of Iowa. Dennis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of CPAs.
NOTATIONS
Dennis has served on various committees of the Iowa Society of CPAs, resulting in improvements in the quality of services provided by CPAs in the state of Iowa. He has provided countless hours of time as a speaker, volunteer and board member for numerous civic and not-for-profit organizations during his career. He has also directed major fund-raising projects for the University of Northern Iowa. Dennis enjoys international travel and spending time with his grandchildren.

Dennis directs the accounting, auditing and consulting services of the firm's Belmond and Mason City offices. He has significant experience in auditing governmental and not-for-profit organizations as well as commercial entities. Dennis also provides small business consulting services in the areas of payroll management, financing, income tax planning and cash management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Dennis began his career with Hogan - Hansen in 1988. After three years, he founded and operated a small business. He returned to public accounting a few years later, working with a CPA firm in northwest Iowa providing accounting and audit services to governmental and commercial entities. Dennis rejoined Hogan - Hansen in 1996 and was promoted to Principal in 2001. He is licensed to practice as a CPA in the state of Iowa and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of CPAs.
NOTATIONS
Dennis volunteers his time and talents as a board member to fraternal and not-for-profit organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys participating in basketball and flag football recreational leagues.
