Hogan - Hansen participates in the Peer Review Program of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The program requires that our firm undergo an external review of our quality control system and detailed reviews of work papers and reports for various financial statement engagements every third year by another CPA firm. Our most recent review was completed in 2008 and again resulted in an unqualified opinion, no letter of comments and no matters for further consideration. Those results place our firm among the top 10% of the nearly 30,000 firms in the United States that participate in the Peer Review Program.
Our 2008 review was conducted by James Lewis, chair of the Minnesota Society of CPA's Peer Review Committee and a member of the Iowa Society of CPA's Peer Review Committee. Jim is a principal in the firm of Lewis, Kisch and Associates located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
